iDSIGN Magic Box stack: makes webdeveloping easier

Stacks Image 9622

This stack enables you to make a warningbox, contactbox, styled box and so on. Make your own close button or contentbackground or titleblock (or use the many build-in styles - see manual). Knowledge of image editing is necessary to create your own styles. For those who are not so handy (to make your own styles) just use the predefined styles. (follow the manual to link your own style). If you succeed in doing that you can make whatever you want (see examples). Attention: self made styles don't show on your workdoc - only on preview and publish. As you can see this is a very powerful stack but on the other hand also very simple to use

ATTENTION: read this first !

These MagicBox appearance settings are very important. If your MB doesn't appear anymore READ about the RESET feature !!!

Attention !
A cookie is used for an origin website to send information to a user's browser and for the browser to return the state information to the origin site. Cookies are stored by your browser and can be manually deleted inside the browser - preferences. To make it easier for you i have build-in a "Reset" checkbox to enable you to delete just this cookie (name = timer / showed) used for this Magic Box. More information click on Reset inside this manual.

Setting: Disabled:
The MB will open without any delay or limitations

Setting: Start MB Open:
If you sellect this setting, your MB will open (each time you'r visiting this page) after a certain opening Delay (in milliseconds). Only use together with "Opening Delay"

Setting: Open MB Ones:
If you sellect this setting, your MB will open only ones and will reset after X-days. For example: if you add 2 days inside "Exp after ... days" this MB will open (after a certain opening delay) only ones untill these 2 days are expired, then it will open again. So with this setting you can use, sliders "opening Delay" and "Exp after ... days"

If you want to show you MB only ones without any time limit. Set Expiring days and minutes to 0 (zero) minutes. In this case the cookie will expire if the visitor closes his browser and will be enabled back on next visit.

Setting: Start MB Open + Expiring time:
If you sellect this setting, your MB will open only ones and will reset after X-minutes. For example: if you add 5 minutes inside "Exp after ... min" your MB will be open again after these 5 minutes. This feature can also be used together with "Opening Delay".
Opening Delay:
Opening delay = time (in milliseconds) before showing your Magic box.

Exp after ... days:
This cookie will show your MB only ones and will reset after ... days. For example if your slider = 30, your MB will open ones and don't show it anymore untill these 30 days are expired.

Exp after ... min:
This cookie will show your MB only ones and will reset after ... minutes. For example if your slider = 30, your MB will open ones and don't show it anymore untill these 30 minutes are expired.

If you want to show you MB only ones without any time limit. Set Expiring time to 0 (zero) minutes. In this case the cookie will expire if the visitor closes his browser and will be enabled back on next visit.

Reset (IMPORTANT !!):
If you are playing with these cookie settings it's possible you'll see your MB only ones and think your MB isn't working any more. So before using these features keep your settings disabled untill your design is OK. Only test it before publishing. If you still want to test it, you can RESET (= remove) your cookies:
1: Settings -> Disabled
2: mark Reset and preview your page inside the browser where you want to remove this cookie. Go back to edit mode and unmark the reset checkbox (keep settings on disabled). Now you do have to see your MB again without any expiring time or days.

MB link
Stacks Image 9744

Open a MB on top of another

First drop a MB stack on your page and style it the way you want. make a link on your page to trigger it to open (add custom attribute with name: class and value: open1 (1= id from your MB)).Drop in a second MB beneath the first, style it and make a link on your page to trigger it (add custom attribute with name: class and value: open2 (2= id from your second MB)) Hide both MagicBoxes and click edit content. Make a link inside the content block to trigger the first MB (on top of this one). Link with.custom attribute name: class and value: open1. If you preview your page and click on the second link your MB will open, now you'll see the link to trigger the other MB click on it, you'll see it opening BUT WITH A SECOND OVERLAY COLOR (not so nice). You can disable the overlay just for this link.
HOW?
Open the first link on your page from the first MB and add a custom attribute: name: onclick and value: stacks.jQuery('.overlay1').css({'visibility': 'visible'}); return false (EXAMPLE). Make the content from your second MB vissible and add a custom Attr. to the link you previously made to trigger the MB1. Custom Attr with name: onclick and value: stacks.jQuery('.overlay1').css({'visibility': 'hidden'}); return false (EXAMPLE). By the way overlay1 = overlay color from your first MB (1 = MB ID)
